The home carrier for Mauritius is Air Mauritius and it operates a small network of routes to all the local islands as well as several international destinations in Australia, Africa, Asia, and Europe. There are other flight carriers available including Virgin Air, British Airways, South African Air, and several others. The major way to enter is by air because most ships that enter Mauritius's ports are cargo vessels. Some cruise lines are now offering frequent visits to the island.
