Mauritius weather

The climate of Mauritius is tropical with trade winds from the southeast. Winters are dry and warm while the summers are wet, humid, and hot. There are occasional tropical cyclones between the months of November to April, but are more common from December till March.

Mauritius’s climate is classified as tropical.  From the May – November you can expect to experience a warm dry winter where the rest of the year is considered summer with hot, wet, humid weather.  There are south east trade winds that do allow for a pleasant tropical experience.  Although it is rare, Mauritius can be affected by cyclones.
